Uttaranchal University (UU), established in 2013 under the Uttaranchal University Act 2012, is a distinguished institution accredited by NAAC with an A+ grade (first cycle) and recognized by the UGC under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act, 1950, alongside other national and state bodies. Located in Dehradun, UU has earned accolades for innovation and sustainability, including the Sustainability Award from the International Council of Circular Economy and a 5th national and 25th global rank under UNSDG Goal 7 (Affordable & Clean Energy) by Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024. It also features in WURI Rankings (2022-2024). Over 750 top recruiters, including Google, Adobe, Amazon, Deloitte, TCS, and Zomato, hired 2,356+ students in 2024. The UU-Skill-Up initiative offers industry-relevant training in Power BI, Tableau, and soft skills, alongside preparation for competitive exams like CAT, GATE, and GRE. Admissions at UU are merit-based, with a straightforward online or offline application process. Candidates must verify eligibility criteria before applying. Scholarships include merit-based (10-30% tuition fee waiver), Uttarakhand and hill state domicile (25%), Sushila Devi (5% for girls and defense personnel wards), alumni (10% for first year), and sibling scholarships (10%). Only one scholarship is applicable per student, subject to document verification, and none are available for MBA Executive, B.Sc. Nursing, or Hotel Management diplomas.
